About me
When I was younger, I was caught in a spiral of performance anxiety. My brain was running in hamster-wheel mode 24/7, and panic attacks were part of my daily routine. Then one day, I discovered cooking (and therapy)… Game changer.
Cooking became my only real way to disconnect, like my brain was hitting pause (or more like a form of meditation). My hands were busy, my mind would calm down, and bonus – I’d end up with a great meal.
When I moved into my own place, my curiosity turned into passion: I spent hours watching cooking videos on YouTube, testing recipes non-stop, and hosting family and friends over good food.
For over 10 years, I worked in marketing while pouring tons of effort into Dash of Honey. What started as a small project grew so much that I had to make a choice: leave my career to focus on my passion.
Meanwhile, Margot – my daughter, came along . And with her, a new reality: cooking wasn’t just a passion anymore, it was a necessity (Ahhh, the infamous 5-to-7 marathon). But a necessity that had to stay simple, efficient, and just as satisfying! It was actually during my maternity leave that I wrote my first cookbook, À la Façon de Laura, which features over 100 colorful, indulgent, and accessible recipes.
Through my recipes, I hope to make everyday cooking simple, delicious, and stress-free. With approachable recipes adapted to real life, I want to show that eating well is accessible – and that cooking should always be fun.
Thanks for being here and being part of my journey!
