I was inspired by Brazilian limeade (made with limes and sweetened condensed milk) to create a simple, creamy version with lemons and strawberries. Perfect for sipping all summer long!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups strawberries

  • 2 lemons

  • 4 cups water

  • ½ can of sweetened condensed milk (150ml)

  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 1 cup ice (plus more for serving)

  • For garnish: fresh mint and lemon slices

Instructions

  • In a blender, add the 1 ½ cups of strawberries.
  • Zest the 2 lemons, then remove the peel using a knife, keeping only the flesh.
  • Add the lemon flesh, zest, and 4 cups of water to the blender. Blend for about 30 seconds.
  • Strain the mixture using a fine mesh sieve to remove the pulp.
  • Pour the filtered liquid back into the blender. Add ½ can of sweetened condensed milk (150ml), 3 tbsp honey, and 1 cup of ice. Blend for a few seconds until smooth.
  • If foam forms on top, skim it off with a spoon.
  • Pour into glasses filled with ice. Garnish with mint leaves and lemon slices.
