Salmon Tartare with Nectarine and Avocado

A refreshing salmon tartare with nectarines, avocado, and a little kick of jalapeño… Serve it with chips, as an appetizer or a light dinner (highly recommend a glass of white wine on the side!).

Ingredients

  • 450g fresh salmon, skin removed

  • 1 shallot, finely chopped

  • 3 tbsp chopped chives

  • 1 nectarine, diced

  • 1 avocado, diced

  • 1 jalapeño, seeds removed and finely diced

  • 2 tbsp Toundra Nordic relish

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • Drizzle of olive oil

  • ½ tsp salt

  • Plain chips, for serving

Instructions

  • Dice 450g of fresh salmon into small cubes and place them in a bowl (ideally set over another bowl filled with ice to keep everything cold).
  • Add 1 finely chopped shallot, 3 tbsp of chopped chives, 1 diced nectarine, 1 diced avocado, and 1 jalapeño (seeds removed and finely diced) to the bowl.
  • Add 2 tbsp of Toundra Nordic relish, the juice of ½ lemon, and a drizzle of olive oil.
  • Season with ½ tsp of salt, then mix everything gently to combine. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Serve the tartare on plates with plain chips on the side.
